With the support of the Simons Foundation, SFU students were invited by the Institute for the Humanities to submit written proposals that focused on issues related to citizenship. Stephen Fielding, SFU graduate student in history, presented the following selected paper on November 9, 2006, at SFU Harbour Centre.
